UPDATED: Police Investigating Armed Robbery on Route 1
An armed robbery on Route 1 in Danvers was reported at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Editor's note: Initial scanner reports indicated that the robbery on Saturday evening occured at a different location. Police have confirmed that the robbery took place in the parking lot of the 10 Newbury St. plaza.
An armed robbery at the parking lot of 10 Newbury St. plaza was reported to police on Saturday night at approximately 9:45 p.m.
A Dollar Tree employee was reported leaving work when the individual was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot.

The suspect fled the scene in a red Jeep that was said to have five people in the car. Police confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen from the Walmart parking lot in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
At about 9:55 p.m. the suspects' vehicle, was last seen on Lowell Street, heading toward downtown Peabody.

As of 10:20 p.m. police were still on scene.
Police are still investigating the situation.
