Police Log: Danvers Man Charged With Drunk Driving After Striking a Tree

Tuesday, June 24

At 6:22 p.m., police arrested Brian Moran, 20, 241 Maple St., Danvers, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor and negligently operating a motor vehicle. Police made the arrest after Moran’s vehicle struck a tree on Summer Street.

At 6:56 p.m., police received a call about youths swearing at Peabody Institute Library. They left before police arrived.

Wednesday, June 25

At 7:10 a.m. an employee at a Trask Lane business reported someone stole copper.

At 9:36 a.m., a Bunting Way resident reported someone entered a motor vehicle and stole a spare key.

At 5:11 p.m., police responded to a fight at the Econo Lodge. Police took a report.

At 5:33 p.m., police responded to Walmart about a shoplifter stealing $35 worth of merchandise. Police took a report.

 

Thursday, June 26

At 2:53 p.m., police received a report of a car’s window being smashed on Hutchinson Drive. Police took a report.

 

Friday, June 27

At 9:16 a.m., police received a report about a larceny on Locust Street. Police took a report.

At 9:35 a.m., police responded to Andover Street about a pedestrian accident. The person suffered minor injuries. Police took a report.

At 11:39 a.m., a Market Basket employee reported someone passing counterfeit bills. Police took a report.

At 1:21 p.m., police responded to Extended Stay Inn after cash and drugs were stolen. Police took a report.
