Police Log: Danvers Man Charged with Drunk Driving After Striking Pole

The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Feb. 7

At 7:55 p.m., police arrested Paul DeVoe, 59, 68 Preston St., Wakefield, and charged him with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police arrested DeVoe after a call about an intoxicated customer at Guitar Center.

At 8:29 p.m., police responded to an Endicott Street business after a wallet was stolen.

Saturday, Feb. 8

At 3:40 p.m., police responded to Independence Way about a motor vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries.

At 3:45 p.m., police responded to Route 128 North at Elliott Street about a motor vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries.

At 5:46 p.m., police summonsed an alleged shoplifter to court. The person reportedly attempted to steal items from Walmart.

At 7:31 p.m., police responded to the Liberty Tree Mall after a wallet was stolen.

At 7:56 p.m., police arrested Jennifer Ferreira, 22, 72 Essex St., Beverly, and charged her with uttering a counterfeit note. Police made the arrest at Market Basket.

 

Sunday, Feb. 9

At 1:25 a.m., police arrested Mark O’Brien, 34, 107 Conant St., Danvers, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation. Police made the arrest after responding to Water Street about a motorist striking a pole.

At 10:02 a.m., police responded to Maple Street about a car accident. There were no reported injuries.

At 12:07 p.m., a Walmart employee reported a shoplifting.

At 1:04 p.m., police responded to Elliott Street about a motor vehicle accident.
