Police Log: Dorchester Woman Arrested After She Tried to Use Fake Travelers Checks

Saturday, March 1

At 12:29 p.m. a Walmart employee reported a shoplifting.

At 2:50 p.m., police responded to Sports Authority about someone disturbing the peace. The person left before police arrived.

At 6:47 p.m., police arrested Stephen Mounsey, 26, 56 Webb St., Apt. 1, Salem, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, failing to use care in starting/stopping/turning/backing up, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Police made the arrest after a motor vehicle accident at Locust and Poplar streets. There were no injuries.

 

Sunday, March 2

At 12:10 a.m., a Bay View Avenue resident called police after a parked vehicle’s window was damaged. Police took a report.

At 2:42 a.m., police arrested Andrew Murley, 27, 9 Chestnut St., Beverly, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Elliott Street.

At 2:13 p.m., police received a call from Stop & Shop after someone reportedly stole more than $250 worth of razor blades.

At 7:49 p.m., police arrested Michael Larocque, 36, 466 Cabot St., Beverly, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest at Motel 6.

 

Monday, March 3

At 6:25 a.m., police arrested Conor Kelly, 20, 11 Laurine Road, Danvers, and charged him on a warrant.

At 12:43 p.m., police arrested Jane Rimson, 26, 100 Maple St., Dorchester, and charged her with uttering a false travelers check, failing to stop for police, forging an RMV document, false impersonation and identity fraud, and 19 counts of possessing counterfeit travelers checks. Police made the arrest in Peabody after Rimson tried to use fake travelers checks at Bed Bath & Beyond in Danvers.

At 1:04 pm., a Locust Street resident reported a car was keyed.

At 1:32 p.m., police arrested Mark Cottrell, 25, 1 Azalea Lane, Peabody, and charged him with shoplifting more than $100 by asportation and illegal possession of a knife. Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at Walmart.
