Police Log: Political Signs Stolen, Attempted House Break

The following excerpt is from the Hingham police log from Thursday, October 18. The arrest information was supplied by Hingham Police and does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, October 18:

At 7:34 a.m. a caller who lives on the 400 block of Cushing Street reported a possible house break-in.  No damage was done to the home and no entry was gained.

At 4:39 p.m. a caller on Elm Street reported political signs were taken from his property.

At 5:07 p.m. a caller reported a two car accident at the intersection of Cushing and Main Street.  EMTs were called to the scene and a  child reported chest pain. One vehicle was also towed.

At 5:30 p.m. a caller on the 200 block of Main Street reported a turkey was struck by a vehicle and was still alive.  Animal Control was contacted.

At 8:57 p.m. police arrested a 52-year-old Pembroke woman at a motor vehicle stop at the Gulf Station on Lincoln Street.  The woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

Looking for more information about the theft of a political sign. Can you help? What type of signs when a caller on Elm Street reported political signs were taken from his property? Were they Scott Brown or Elizabeth Warren signs? Romney or Obama? Thanks & let us know - if you have more facts?

The exact address of the incident and the names of political candidates were not posted in the police log.
