Police Log: Salem Man Arrested After Trying to Steal Knife, Ax From Walmart

Saturday, July 5

At 2:52 a.m., police arrested Christian Doucette, 23, 4 Calas Circle, Peabody, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor. Police made the arrest after a car accident on High School. There were no reported injuries.

At 7:58 a.m., police received a report of a smashed car window on Locksley Road.

At 11:23 a.m., police arrested Joye Demarais, 59, 77 Fuller Pond Road, Middleton, and charged her with shoplifting by asportation. Police made the arrest at Market Basket.

At 4:18 p.m., police arrested Scott Postawko, 26, 2 Patriot Circle, Gloucester, and charged him with shoplifting by asportation. Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter trying to steal a BB gun at Walmart.

At 11:59 p.m., police arrested Crystal Rose, 34, 12 Fulton St., Danvers, and charged her with domestic assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Sunday, July 6

At 2:15 a.m., police arrested Conor Kelly, 20, 11 Laurine Road, Danvers, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Newbury Street.

At 9:19 a.m., a Sanford Court resident reported a past burglary. Police took a report.

At 10:09 a.m., police arrested Donnamarie Welch, 21, 1011 Wisconsin Ave., Fort Campbell, KY, and charged her with domestic assault and battery.

At 5:58 p.m., an Autozone employee reported that two oxygen sensors were stolen.

 

Monday, July 7

At 6:30 a.m., police arrested Jose Valencia, 40, 22 Hawley St., Lawrence, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and not having an inspector sticker. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Endicott Street.

At 6:59 a.m., police arrested Christian Urena, 21, 33 Moulton St., Lynn, and charged the person on a warrant.

At 12:14 p.m., police arrested Steven Kenney, 28, 233 Lafayette St., Salem, and charged him with possessing burglarious instruments, four counts of carrying a dangerous weapon and shoplifting more than $100 by asportation. Police made the arrest after a report of someone trying to steal a knife and ax from Walmart.
