Police Search for Someone Screaming 'Help'

The following is an excerpt from the Danvers Police log:

Wednesday, Jan. 18

  • A car break-in was reported on Archmeadow Drive at 10:33 a.m. Tools were reportedly stolen from the vehicle.
  • Police and other departments responded to a water main break on Locust Street at 11:33 a.m.
  • At 12:52 p.m. a dog was found on the side of the road on Maple Street. Animal Control was notified.
  • A motor vehicle accident with personal injury was reported at 12:52 p.m. on High Street.
  • Police assisted in keeping the peace as an employee was terminated from at 1:09 p.m.
  • Kids on ice were reported at 2:31 p.m. on Hobart Street. No kids were there when police arrived.
  • Injuries were reported in a motor vehicle accident on Elliott Street at 3:24 p.m.
  • An intoxicated person was reported on Middleton Road at 5:26 p.m.
  • A car break-in was reported on Newbury Street at 6:37 p.m.
  • At 8:39 p.m. police responded to a car crash on Rt. 128 North at Rt. 62 with injuries.
  • At 10:22 p.m. a female was reportedly walking on the highway at Newbury and Centre streets. Police did not locate the woman.
  • Police arrested Glenn Vaux, 42, 39 River St., Danvers, and charged him with driving while under the influence of alcohol and stop sign violation. The arrest was made on River Street at 10:43 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 19

  • Police took a report of a pitbull that bit their owner on Newbury Street at around 8 a.m.
  • Jeremiah Hoy, 23, 16 Oak Ridge Circle, Lynn, was arrested on a warrant at 10:21 a.m.
  • Jadelyn Hodge, 19, 33 Spring St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with shoplifting at 3:46 p.m. at
  • Kids were reported on the ice near at 4 p.m. Police spoke to the kids.
  • reported receiving threats via the phone at 5:45 p.m.
  • An accident with injury was reported on Maple Street at 5:58 p.m.
  • At 6 p.m.
  • At 7:47 p.m. police searched the area of Locust Street after receiving reports someone was screaming "help!"

Friday, Jan. 20

  • Nicholas King, 18, 51 Mass Ave., Danvers and Michael Warren, 18, 10 Sherwood Ave., Danvers were arrested as a courtesy booking for another department.
  • Tanya Hernandez, 39, 286 Newbury St., Peabody, was arrested on a warrant at 9:16 a.m.
