Police Searching for Missing Danvers Teen

A 14-year-old Danvers male who recently moved to town was reported missing Tuesday night. Anyone with information should call Danvers police at 978-774-1213.

Danvers police were looking for a 14-year-old boy Tuesday night who they say was reported missing earlier that evening.

A public alert was released by police around 10 p.m., saying Philip Chism, who recently moved to Danvers from Tennessee, was last seen at Hollywood Hits Cinema off Endicott Street around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to call the Danvers Police Department at 978-774-1213.

According to scanner reports, officers were still searching for the teen after midnight. Officers were at Danvers High School for a while and then began searching the rail trail, which runs past the school, around 11 p.m. The K-9 unit was also brought in to assist.
