Route 1 Northbound Closed Because of Icy Bridge
Icy roads on Saturday evening have closed a portion of Route 1 in Danvers.
Route 1 northbound is closed on Saturday evening between Route 62 and the Ferncroft Rotary.
State Police closed the road after a multiple car crash on the Route 1 northbound bridge over I-95 in the Ferncroft Rotary caused by an icy road.
The road was closed at about 4:30 p.m. and will remain closed until state road crews can come through with salt and sand. The icy conditions were caused by the light snow that fell for most of the day on Saturday.

Initial reports indicate that three people received minor injuries in the crashes and were taken to local hospitals.
Among the vehicles involved in the cash was a State Police cruiser. Danvers police and Fire Department responded to the crash also.
