Route 114 to be Open for Morning Commute
The closure and detour of a section of Route 114 at the Danvers-Peabody line has come to an end in time for the morning commute on Friday.
A stretch of Route 114 that was closed for most of the day on Thursday is open for the morning commute on Friday.
A one-third mile stretch of road at the Danvers-Peabody line was closed just before 10 a.m. on Thursday when strong winds tore down several utility poles, sending wires, poles and transformers to the street.
Utility crews and emergency workers had the road closed into Thursday evening but it reopened overnight on Thursday and repairs were completed.

Peabody police sent out a Nixle alert at 5:54 a.m. saying that the road was open again.
