Salem Man Arrested After Breaking Into Hotel Room, Assaulting Ex-girlfriend

Charges also include possessing cocaine and three counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

Danvers Police arrested a Salem man after he allegedly forced his way into a hotel room of an ex-girlfriend, who had a restraining order out against him, and allegedly assaulted her.

Police responded to the Econo Lodge on Endicott Street at about 5:30 a.m. Friday about a report of a man with a firearm.

Police arrested Daniel Roldan, 25, 35 Upham St., Salem, and charged him with kidnapping, aggravated rape, aggravated assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault and battery, violating a restraining order, intimidating a witness, malicious destruction of property, possessing a Class B substance (cocaine), threatening to commit a crime, resisting arrest and three counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

Danvers Police Sgt. Olivia Silva said the three officers who were assaulted suffered minor to no injuries.
