Suspicious Cupcake Distributors Reported To Police

Several car breaks, a stolen bike, and a suspicious cupcake situation were all reported in the Danvers Police Department log.

The following are excepts from the Danvers Police Department log Sunday June 19 through Tuesday June 21. 

Sunday

  • An officer was patrolling the parking lot at ss 6:20 p.m. when he got flagged by a victim who found that his car window had been smashed and his wallet had been stolen, sometime within that hour range that he'd been inside the gym. 
  • At 8:07 p.m. Frank Hennessy, 19, of 268 Maple St. was arrested on account of domestic assault and battery after a fight ensued between him and his parents.

  • At 3:06 a.m. a police officer checking parking lots along 114 observed a shattered car window at 72 Andover St . No entry to the car appeared to have been made. 
  • A resident called to report that his Chevrolet truck had been entered at 37 Pickering St. The contents from the glove box had been gone through and strewn about the interior but nothing appeared to be missing. Later that day another resident called to report that their Camry on the same street had also been ransacked, but nothing had been stolen. 
  • A victim reported that sometime between June 17 and the 20, the tires of his car, parked at 36 Bay View Ave., had been slashed. 
  • Dispatch received a phone call about a possible fight at 3:27 p.m. at the parking lot. When officers arrived they found two male parties and it was obvious that one of the males had cuts on the bridge of his nose, and said he'd been punched in the face. Alexander Howe, 26, of 29 Hodgkins Drive in Ipswich was arrested for assault and battery.  
  • A 15 year old juvenile reported that their Schwinn bike had been stolen at the sometime between 7 and 9 p.m.
  • A reporting party stated some young kids were knocking on the doors of homes on North Street, giving out cupcakes. Officers found the two young girls and spoke to their parents. According to Captain Ambrose, there was no malicious intent. 
  • Officers responded to on reports of loud noise, revving engines and screeching tires in the parking lot. The eight parties involved all denied causing any disturbance and left the lot. 

Tuesday:

  • At 3:33 p.m. a victim made officers aware of $250 in unauthorized transfers that had been taken from his bank account.
