Teen Accused of Threats to Shoot, Torture Former Classmates and Administrators

The Boxford teen sent his girlfriend numerous threatening text messages, saying it was all in response to ongoing bullying he endured at Essex Aggie.

A Boxford teenager is accused of making serious threats against his former classmates and administrators at Essex Agricultural and Technical High School in Danvers, including shooting some of them, dismembering and torturing others and even threatening to burn down or blow up the school.

The Salem News reports that Tyler Huntress, 17, of Boxford was arrested at his home earlier this month on a charge of making threats to commit a crime and was held at the Middleton Jail infirmary until a hearing this week to determine if he posed a public danger.

Huntress' girlfriend first reported the threats to Danvers police a few weeks ago and told them the threats were Huntress' response to ongoing bullying, reports the Salem News.

According to police, several knives and other items were seized at Huntresses' home; he told them he collects weapons and was just "venting" with the threats, the paper reports.
