3-Alarm Fire at Home on Sylvan Street

The fire started just before 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at 8 Sylvan St. in Danvers early Friday night.

The fire started just before 5:30 p.m. with heavy smoke showing. 

Just after 6 p.m., crews were ordered out of the building and fought the fire from the exterior. The fire was knocked down shortly before 7 p.m., according to Fire Fighters of MA, @THE_PFFM.
A firefighter was treated for an injury at the scene and placed into an ambulance, according to the Lawrence Eagle Tribune's Jill Harmacinski, @EagleTribJill.
The home is directly across Sylvan Street from Danvers Town Hall.
