Watch 20/20 Broadcast That Featured Peabody Murder-for-Hire
20/20 featured a case in which a former Peabody man put out a hit on his wife and infant son.
ABC's 20/20 featured the undercover operations of murder-for-hires, including a 10-year-old case in Peabody.
The case involved former Peabody resident Guillermo Vasco, who planned to burn down the house of his estranged wife, killing her, himself and their infant son. She was able to stop him and he was later arrested.
While in prison, Vasco tried to hire a hit man, who wound up being an ATF undercover agent. Vasco wanted the man to kill both his wife and son.
20/20 interviewed Sgt. Sheila McDaid of the Peabody Police Department as part of the report.
