Wilmington, Saugus Teens Arrested for Underage Alcohol Possession

The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following excerpts are from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from Oct. 21-23.

Monday, Oct. 21

  • 5:10 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 1 near Ferncroft Road.
  • 6:26 p.m. Report of a road rage incident involving a motorcycle on Endicott Street near the Shell gas station.
  • 6:30 p.m. Peabody police reported they recovered a motor vehicle stolen out of Danvers.

Tuesday, Oct. 22

Wednesday, Oct. 23

  • 3:23 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious vehicle -- an older model four-door car -- with three occupants on St. Hilaire Avenue. Ryan Bradley, 19, of Wilmington, Brandon Ferreira, 18, of Saugus, and Daniel Murphy, 18, of Saugus, were all arrested for underage possession of alcohol.
  • 9:48 a.m. Officers transported Philip Chism to Salem Juvenile Court.
  • 1:43 p.m. Officer Jarod Waterman responded to 10 Riverside St. to keep the peace as reporters gathered outside Philip Chism's home.
  • 3:11 p.m. Officer Justin Ellenton conducted a follow-up investigation at the Chism's home on Riverside Street.
  • 3:29 p.m. Report of a break-in attempt at the Rebecca Nurse Homestead.
  • 3:45 p.m. Report of an intoxicated person at a Webb Street home. A 45-year-old female resident and a 31-year-old Danvers man were both placed into protective custody.
  • 5:11 p.m. Officer Philip Tansey provided assistance at the Chism's Riverside Street home.
  • 7:22 p.m. Officer Robert Santo provided assistance at Danvers High School.
  • 8:27 p.m. An ambulance and medical aid were requested for a 10-year-old who fainted at Danvers High School during a candlelight vigil. Medical transport was declined.
