Danvers Awarded for FY 2012 Town Audit
Once again, Danvers was awarded for its financial excellence after being audited in fiscal 2012.
The Town of Danvers recently received a certificate of excellence from the state in terms of the audit the town completed in fiscal 2012, according to an article in the Salem News.
Town Manager Wayne Marquis spoke highly of town accountant Leonard Marshall after the town was awarded the "Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association."
“It makes a clear statement to our elected leaders and residents that the town is conducting its financial operations in a high-level manner consistent with nationally accepted standards.”
