Danvers Public Schools Closed on Friday, Weekend Field Trips Canceled
The first snowday of the winter has been declared for Danvers public schools on Friday.
Danvers Public Schools will be closed on Friday because of the forecasted snowstorm.
The announcement was made at 3:50 p.m. in a phone and e-mail message sent via BlackBoard Connect by Superintendent Lisa Dana.
It will be the first "snowday" of the winter in Danvers.

All school buildings will be closed for the weekend and all Danvers High School field trips for this weekend are also cancelled, Dana said.
