Diane Langlais, who was appointed to the Board of Selectmen after the resignation of Michael Powers last year, was elected to the board on Tuesday.

Langlais easily beat challenger Scott Herwig, 1,091-269.

The only other town-wide race was for School Committee. Incumbent Eric Crane topped the ticket with 833 votes, followed by Jeffrey Kay who received 818 votes and former School Committee member Jack Billings got 620 votes. With two seats up for grabs, this means Kay will join Crane on the School Committee.

Moderator Patricia Fraizer and Housing Authority member Carla King both ran unopposed on Tuesday. The other town-wide office on the ballot was Library Trustees and all three incumbents (Irene Conte, Charles Desmond and Wilbur Cobb) were re-elected.
