The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources and Metropolitan Area Planning Council will host a second community forum to discuss the clean energy and energy efficiency opportunities on Wednesday.

The forum will be held as part of the “Community Energy Strategies” program, a partnership between MassCEC, DOER and local communities to assess local clean energy resources and needs with the goal of formulating a Clean Energy Roadmap.

Propelled by the rich dialogue from the first clean energy forum, the upcoming event will focus on ten projects to consider more seriously. Experts will also be on hand to discuss four specific topic areas — anaerobic digestion, community solar gardens, renewable thermal, and behavior-based energy efficiency programs — to better inform the decision-making process. Residents and business owners are encouraged to provide their own ideas for what they would like to see as part of their community’s clean energy future.

The Community Energy Forum will be held at Swampscott High School on Wednesday, Feb. 19 beginning at 6 p.m. Swampscott High School is located at 200 Essex St., Swampscott.
