Town Declares First Parking Ban of the Winter

The ban will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday. No on-street parking for longer than one hour will be allowed during that time.

The town of Danvers has declared a parking ban in light of the impending snowstorm.

The ban will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday and all overnight on-street parking will be prohibited during that time. Residents can park their cars on the street for up to one hour though.

Snowfall predictions for the Danvers area range from 6 to 10 inches, starting Saturday evening into Sunday morning. Sleet and freezing rain are also expected to enter the mix overnight.

Any vehicles left on the street for longer than one hour during the ban may be subject to ticketing and/or towing.

The town will issue another notice when the ban is lifted.
