The Department of Public Works has declared an overnight parking ban will be in effect across town in Danvers Wednesday from 1-6 a.m.

While the ban is in place, no on-street parking will be allowed during those hours. Residents can, however, park for up to one hour if they need to make a stop at the pharmacy or convenience store.

Any violators of the ban may be ticketed and/or towed. The ban will remain in effect until further notice from the town.

There has been a car abandoned at the entrance to Juniper Ridge Rd. that has sat there through all the parking bans we've had this winter and hasn't been towed or ticketed. How do we give this ban teeth?
