Traffic Alert: Portion of Maple Street Closed

The work is expected to take place for at least a month.

The culvert work being done on Maple Street (Route 62) at Beaver Brook means Maple Street will be closed and traffic diverted starting this week.

Maple Street will be closed from Summer Street to Pine Street, said the Danvers Department of Public Works.

According to the DPW:

"Heading West on Route 62, traffic will be detoured at Summer St to Spring St to Nichols St to Route 62W. Heading East on Route 62, traffic will be detoured at Pine St to Hobart St to Locust St to 62E."

"The road closure is expected to last 30 to 45 calendar days. Extended work hours will be permitted during the road closure, (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday thru Saturday) to facilitate minimum disruption to traffic on Maple Street. Access to your properties will be maintained during all phases of construction," according to the DPW.
