“This gives us an opportunity to share our offices, our work and our time with all residents – and they aren’t coming in to pay a bill, pick up a license or pay a parking ticket," said Assistant Town Manager Diane Norris. "It’s all for an evening of information and family fun."

Some of the activities offered at each location during the Open House will include:

  • Fire Station: Fire safety is the theme where you can walk through a “Smoke House” after enjoying some pizza which will be served at 5 p.m.
  • Electric Division: One display will focus on electrical safety activities for kids and includes rides in the bucket truck. You'll also be able to decorate a cookie.
  • Senior Center: Get your flu shot (insurance card required and must be over 9-years-old) or get information on senior safety programs. You can snack on apple cider and cider donuts from Brooksby Farm.
  • Town Hall: Tour the “White House” and register to vote. Snacks, games and raffles with prizes including a “Build-A-Bear” will be offered, plus a rain barrel and more.
  • Library: Kids can make their own spin art and have a Hoodsie. Check out the E-Reader demonstration.
  • Police Station: It's all about dogs - hot dogs to eat and a K-9 demonstration at 5:30 p.m. They will also be raffling a bicycle donated by Target.

Hop on the trolley, ride through Danvers, and see what services the town has to offer.
