Water Division Receives Regional Award

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection awarded the Danvers Water Division with the 2013 Source Protection Regional Award.

Treatment Plant Manager Jason McCarthy and Town Engineer Rick Rodgers officially received the award at ceremonies back in May.

"This award acknowledges the careful oversight the Water Division provides to our surface water sources as well as to our two wells, under the leadership of Jason McCarthy and Superintendent Aaron Cilluffo," a press release stated.

The acquisition of Lebel’s Grove, a 21-acre piece of land of 114, was also acknowledged due to the help it will provide in preserving the wells in that area.
