Yard Waste Pickup Next Week

The Danvers Department of Public Works said there will a yard waste pickup during regular trash day the week of June 9.

Here's what you need to know from the DPW about what's allowed in the pickups:

"Please have your yard waste in a barrel separated from your trash or in a paper yard waste bag (no larger than 45 gallons or 50 pounds). Branches and twigs may be bundled. Brush will be accepted 4 foot in length or less and not more than 4 inches in diameter.

"Any additional yard waste or brush can be brought to the Transfer Station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. You must first purchase a $15 Brush Sticker at the Clerk's Office in Town Hall or at the Business Division on Burroughs Street (Cash or Check only). The sticker is for unlimited brush/yard waste disposal and is valid for the calendar year. Please see the section on the Transfer Station for more details."
