Danvers High Contractor Comes in With Lowest Bid for Peabody School Project

Agostini-Bacon Construction Co. gave a bid of $68.2 million.

The lowest bidder for the J. Henry Higgins Middle School in Peabody came in $2.7 million below what the city anticipated to pay for the new school, reported The Salem News. 

Agostini-Bacon Construction Co.  gave the lowest bid at $68.2 million. The company also provided an estimate for an “alternate” piece of the project -- $600,000 for an “irrigation system and the terrazzo flooring” for the school, reported The Salem News.

The construction of the new school should be done in June 2016.Field construction should be done between July 2016 and April 2017.
