On Friday, June 6, alumni of the Danvers High School, Class of 1969, gathered at the granite bench dedicated to members of the class.

Later that evening, they joined classmates and their guests for a celebration of the 45th year anniversary of their graduation at the Franco American Club in Beverly.

The bench paid for as part of the reunion event cost and additional donations has been placed in the center of the glass-front atrium of the $70 million renovated high school. The class of 340 graduated on June 5, 1969 on what was then known as Dr. Charles F. Deering Field.

The reunion organizers have announced the establishment of a college scholarship fund to be awarded to future DHS graduates. More information about the scholarship fund and class alumni activities can be found on the group Facebook group page Danvers High Class of ‘69 or by email to mikehagan49@gmail.com.
