Boys Middle School Cross Country Runner Take Top 2 Spots
The runners had a meet at Seaside Park in Marblehead last week.
Boys on the Danvers Middle School cross country team finished first and second in their meet with Marblehead last week.
Overall, both the boys and the girls' teams are making strides, showing improvement, said coach Annie Carter.
The teams have competed in four meets so far this season, winning some and losing some.
The top three runners for the boys have worked especially hard: Andrew Moriarty, Grady Chan and Joe Pereira, the coach said.
Some of the top runners for the girls team are Becky Henion, Savannah Durgin, Liz Gianetta, Rose Bailey and Antonia Martins.
