Danvers American Gets Closer to Little League Championship

Little League team Danvers American beat Amesbury in their most recent game.

The Danvers American Little League team squashed Amesbury Wednesday night, beating the team 14-1, according to an article in the Salem News. 

The Danvers team, whose record is 6-1, is looking to claim the District 15 championship once again this year. They move on to play Hamilton-Wenham in an elimination game Thursday at 7 p.m. at Harry Ball Field. 

“Everything is moving in the right direction. To me, things are very positive right now. We have a lot of good pitching left, the boys are hitting better now and they’re playing with confidence and as a team,” said Danvers American manager Mike Holland.
