The two-time defending Division 3 state champs are taking on the top-seeded team in the MIAA Division 2 North tournament on Saturday.
The Danvers High School Falcons, which were promoted to Division 2 after back-to-back state titles, will take on New Mission for the Division 2 North title at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the Tsongas Center in Lowell.
Danvers knocked off Belmont in the semifinals 62-59 after beating North Andover and Marblehead earlier in the tournament.
Danvers, the number 2 seed after a 17-3 regular season, will take on New Mission, which finished the year at 18-2.
The winner will play the Division 2 South title winner (either Milton or Sharon) on Tuesday at the TD Garden. Both of the southern teams have pulled off huge upsets in the tournament. Sharon knocked off the number 2 seed Whitman-Hanson while Milton beat top-seeded Bishop Feehan.
