Thanksgiving Defeat for Both Falcons and Eagles
Danvers fell, 49-22, to Gloucester while St. John's Prep was bested by Xaverian, 28-22.
Neither Danvers High nor St. John's Prep found a victory on the gridiron Thursday.
The Falcons continued their rivalry up in Gloucester, but were unable to stop the Fishermen from claiming their ninth straight Thanksgiving win. The final score was 49-22. Danvers finishes the season, 7-4.
The Eagles had a much closer contest against the Hawks, who are headed to the Super Bowl this year. St. John's Prep led the game early on and were still ahead by two late in the fourth quarter. Xaverian Brothers scored though and the final tally was 28-22 in their favor.
