Forget the snow and lousy weather of the past three months. Baseball is back.

The Boston Red Sox begin their defense of the World Series title at 3 p.m. Monday against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore. Jon Lester will start for the Red Sox.

The Red Sox will head to the White House on Tuesday to visit with President Barack Obama, who will honor them for the 2013 World Series win.

There have been huge Opening Day moments throughout the years: Bob Feller’s no-hitter in 1940, Hank Aaron clubbing home run number 714 in 1974 and the immortal Tuffy Rhodes slugging three home runs off Doc Gooden in 1994 are just three games that still have people talking.
