Among the selections performed by the Danvers High band at this year's Danvers Rotary Concert were two special tributes to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.
First, Ron Parsons led the band in a rendition of the Dropkick Murphy's "Shipping Up to Boston" and later, the piece "In All Its Glory" by James Swearingen was dedicated to the victims, their families and all those affected by the April tragedy.
The concert, which was held June 27, was moved indoors to the Danvers High auditorium due to the threat of rain.
