John Tierney votes against Cancer research for kids

Unbelievable.

Today 72 Democrats joined 223 Republicans and passed the “Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act,” which would transfer over $12 million a year in funding for political party conventions to pediatric research grants at the National Institutes of Health.

But once again, John Tierney did not partake in the bipartisan spirit and instead joined Nancy Pelosi in voting to keep a political slush fund over Cancer research for children.

Next time John Tierney talks about extremists in Congress, be sure to ask him about his vote on the “Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act.”

Bottom Line: It’s truly disturbing that John Tierney won’t put his extreme political philosophy and partisan grudges aside in order to help children with cancer. Despite the fact that 72 of his fellow Democrats joined 223 Republicans in recognizing that cancer research was more important than presidential conventions, Tierney continued to shun bipartisanship in order to stay in Nancy Pelosi’s good graces.
