American Idol Finalist Angie Miller to Perform at Topsfield Fair

The Topsfield Fair, running October 4-14, 2013 is excited to announce that Angie Miller will be performing in the Grandstand on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.  The concert is free with paid fair admission.

As one of the final three contestants on season 12 of American Idol, 19-year old Angie Miller captivated both the judges and the audience with her powerful vocals and original music.  Despite her 40 percent hearing loss in one-ear, Angie’s confidence, passion, pitch-perfect voice, and love of pop and R&B artists, such as Jessie J and Beyoncé, helped her earn standing ovations week after week. A local girl, born and raised in Beverly, Massachusetts, Angie comes from a very musical family. She grew up surrounded by several musical genres and displayed a gift for songwriting early on, penning and performing her first song for her parents at age 7. Angie’s original song “You Set Me Free,” which she performed masterfully at the piano during "Hollywood Week," quickly became the breakout song of the season.

“I grew up going to the Topsfield Fair so I’m very excited to get the chance to perform there,” said Angie Miller.  “It will be a thrill to look out at the crowd and see so many familiar faces from the North Shore.”

Ticket prices for the 2013 Topsfield Fair are $11.00 each October 4, 7-10 and $15.00 each on October 11th, weekends, and Columbus Day (October 14).  Discount tickets are available at www.topsfieldfair.org through October 3, 2013.  General Admission tickets can be purchased for only $9.00, which are good any day during the Fair’s 11-day run.  A three-day pass, good any three days, is available for $25.00.  Children under eight with an adult are free.  Discounted food vouchers and ride tickets are also available when purchased in advance at www.topsfieldfair.org.
