New Method to Deduct Home Office Expenses

The IRS introduced a new method for deducting home office expenses on your 2013 tax return. The new simplified method caps your deduction at $1,500. The deduction is based on $5 a square foot up to 300 feet. The old method was calculated on Form 8829, the new method is a short worksheet.
