Christmas Concert With Maeve and Mrs. Claus Visits Goodies This Week

Here's what you need to know to get your week started in Danvers.

Today is Monday, Dec. 16. Here's a look at the week ahead in Danvers.

  1. Want to learn more about the early settlers of New England? Danvers Community Access TV is hosting an informational program on this subject Thursday night at the studio.
  2. Maeve, a local female trio, will perform a Christmas concert at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church Saturday as the next installment in the Three Cords Coffeehouse series.
  3. Town board meetings this week: The Historic District Commission meets on Monday (7 p.m.), the Board of Selectmen meets Tuesday (first for an executive session at 6 p.m. and the regular meeting at 7 p.m.), the Preservation Commission meeting Tuesday was canceled, and the Rail Trail Advisory Committee (6 p.m.) and the Recreation Committee (7 p.m.) both meet on Thursday.
  4. The Lee Hawkins Band is scheduled to perform at Supino's Restaurant on Saturday night.
  5. Stop down to Goodies Ice Cream Sunday for a sundae with Mrs. Claus. There will be fresh baked cookies and hot cocoa as well. Once Mrs. Kringle arrives, there will be a reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas," Itty-Bitty Sundaes and more.
