Monday Essentials: Oldies Night, Summer Concerts Resume and Sweet Repeats Sale

Here's what you need to know to get your week started in Danvers.

Today is Monday, Aug. 19. Here's a look at the week ahead in Danvers.

  1. The summer concert series resumes this week at the Rotary Pavilion with the Maureen Benson Quartet on Monday and Blue Moon on Wednesday. Concerts start at 6 p.m.
  2. Town board meetings this week: The Zoning Board of Appeals has rescheduled its meeting for this Monday to Aug. 26. You can find the agenda here. The Municipal Light Board meets on Tuesday (7:30 a.m.) at 2 Burroughs St., the Preservation Commission also meets Tuesday (7 p.m.) and the Conservation Commission meets Thursday (7 p.m.).
  3. Don't forget Oldies Night has been rescheduled to this Wednesday. The event was rained out during the Danvers Family Festival, but the musical street fair will take over Danvers Square Aug. 21 from 6-9 p.m.
  4. Learn how to make social media work for your business on Friday with Susan Wong at the North Shore Business Forum. The weekly gathering meets at the Danversport Yacht Club for breakfast (7:30 a.m.).
  5. Sweet Repeats fall consignment sale is this weekend. Sweet Repeats is a seasonal children's consignment sale, which will be held Saturday (9 a.m. - 9 p.m.) and Sunday (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.) at the Liberty Tree Mall.
