The Enon Brass and Free Christmas Dinner With Friends

Here's what you need to know this week in Danvers.

Today is Monday, Dec. 23. Here's a look at the week ahead in Danvers.

  1. The Danvers Affordable Housing Trust meeting scheduled for Monday has been canceled.
  2. The Enon Brass, a local band, will be playing Christmas carols at Market Basket Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. to raise donations for The Salvation Army in Massachusetts.
  3. North Shore residents are welcome to stop in at North Shore Unitarian Universalist Church for a free Christmas dinner on Wednesday. The dinner includes roast turkey with all the trimmings, an assortment of desserts, caroling and live musical entertainment. The Danvers Clergy Association and Temple Beth Shalom are co-sponsors of the dinner. Anyone who needs a ride to and from the dinner should call the church and leave a message with the NSUU church administrator at 978-774-7582.
  4. Danvers Recreation and Extra Innings are teaming up to offer a baseball clinic over Christmas break for kids ages 7-12. The clinic will run two days this week (Dec. 26-27) and next (Dec. 30-31). The cost is $99. You can register online here.
  5. The Conservation Commission is scheduled to meet Thursday (7 p.m.) at Town Hall.
  6. There are nature crafts for kids ages 6-10 at Endicott Park on Friday with Ranger Christine. The event will be held inside the Carriage House from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The cost is $29 per child. You can register online here.
