The seventh annual event is part of the Danvers Family Festival.

Submitted by the Danvers Family Festival:

The Danvers Family Festival is excited to announce the 7th annual 2014 Danvers Idol.

With the publicity surrounding the success last year of Beverly’s Angie Miller, and with the addition of fabulous prizes, we are sure this year’s event will be our biggest yet.

Preliminaries will be held on Saturday, June 7 at the DCAT studios in Danvers. Anyone, from any community, can try out with a one minute A Capella song. A panel of music industry judges will provide commentary and constructive criticism. Preliminary judges include musicians Ryan Brooks Kelly, Ashley Johnson, and Randy Barr.

And this year, the audience will have a say on which of the 10 finalist go on to compete as the top 3. Each audience member will fill out a ballot for their favorite top 3 performers.

These three finalists will perform the same evening, judged by our esteemed judges, from which one talented performer will be crowned the 2014 Danvers Idol.
