Danvers Kiwanis Races to Eliminate Deadly Disease for Babies, Moms

The Kiwanis Club's 29th annual 5K road race is this Saturday at Danvers High School.

Danvers Kiwanis is pounding the asphalt this Saturday to support research and treatment for maternal/neonatal tetanus. The deadly disease kills 60,000 babies every year and a significant number of mothers as well.

  • WHAT: 29th Annual Road Race Eliminate 5K
  • WHERE: Danvers High School, 62 Cabot Rd.
  • WHEN: Race starts at 11 a.m. Pick up registration packets and bib numbers at 10 a.m.
  • ENTRY FEE: $25

The race is sponsored by Beverly Hospital and North Shore 104.9. You can register online here. The first 200 runners to sign up get a tee shirt, there will be timing splits at each mile, post-race refreshments and awards for each category. First place male and female gets $250.
