If your little one crawls you to exhaustion each day, there’s a chance to take advantage of the little one’s boundless energy this weekend.

Liberty Tree Mall will host the third annual Diaper Derby at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8 near Kohl’s inside the mall.

Crawlers under the age of 12 months who must not be walking can take part. There will be a series of heats and the winner from each heat will compete for first, second and third prizes.

Last year, Quinn Boyle of Danvers, who was 11 months at the time, crawled past about 40 babies for the win.

There will be an awards ceremony and the top three winners will receive a trophy. All participants will get a goodie bag.

There will also be activities before, during and after the races.

Registration and participation are free. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be done by visiting the Mall Office across from Carter’s.

Would not take my child to this mall ever again as there is a Pet Store in that mall selling puppy mill puppies! Horrible!!

Yes, it is horrible. But who cares eh? Shopping and looking "cool" is more important than the truth to many. Buying and selling animals is a travesty. Animals have an existence of their own. They were not "made" for our entertainment. Locking up parrots and other birds in cages is wrong. Nature gave birds WINGS so that they would fly. To rob birds, their use of their wings is cruel. Like I said, no one cares. Neither the puppy mill store owner, the mall owners or the people who purchase "cute" animals from these pet stores.
