1. CHRISTMAS CONCERT WITH MAEVE

Where/When: Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, Danvers; Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: The next installment of the Three Cords Coffeehouse series is a Christmas performance by Maeve, a local female trio. They will be at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church on Saturday for a free concert. Drinks and snacks will also be served.

Pricing: Free (donations accepted)

2. 'A CHRISTMAS CAROL'

Where/When: North Shore Music Theatre, Beverly; Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: "A Christmas Carol" at North Shore Music Theatre has become a Christmas traditional for many families and it is now in its 20th year. This weekend, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday shows, is your last chance to see the 2013 edition. This version was adapted for the stage by former Music Theatre Artistic Director Jon Kimbell and includes popular cast member David Coffee playing Ebenezer Scrooge. 

Pricing: Ticket prices range from $50 to $65.

3. HAMILTON POLICE 'STUFF A CRUISER' WITH SANTA CLAUS

Where/When: Hamilton Police Department; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Why Go: Santa Claus will be on hand at the Public Safety Building in Hamilton, helping police officers collect toys for patients at Boston Children's Hospital on Saturday. If you have a toy to drop off, make sure it is unwrapped. Toy or not, stop by for a photo with Santa and grab a candy cane.

Pricing: Free

4. SUNDAES WITH MRS. CLAUS

Where/When: Goodies Ice Cream, Danvers; Sunday, 1-2 p.m.

Why Go: Mrs. Kringle will join children at Goodies on Sunday afternoon, where there will be fresh baked cookies and hot cocoa plus a reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Of course, Itty-Bitty Sundaes and more will be served. Space is limited, so call Goodies beforehand at 978-763-4663 to reserve a ticket. 

Pricing: $16 per child, available only in advance 

5. A FIRESIDE NOEL HOLIDAY CONCERT WITH NEW ENGLAND TENORS

Where/When: The Community House of Hamilton and Wenham, Hamilton; Saturday, 7:30 p.m. 

Why Go: Three "outstanding tenor voices" will sing a some of the best Christmas and Holiday songs ever in the intimate setting of the Community House.

Pricing: $15 in advance online, $18 at the door
