Westies Frolic in the Park, Fall Festivals, Car Shows and More This Weekend

1. IT'S A WESTIE WORLD FROLIC IN THE PARK

Where/When: Endicott Park, 57 Forest St., Danvers; Sunday, noon - 3 p.m.

Why Go: The West Highland Terrier Club of New England puts on its 3rd Annual It's a Westie World Frolic in the Park over at Endicott Park. Club member Joe Ferraro, owner of K9 Academy New England, will offer a special demo on how to teach your pet tricks. Ferraro is a certified animal behaviorist through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Search and Rescue and obedience training for the Department of Environmental Police. Bring a picnic lunch with you, ex-pens, pop up tents (in case of rain) and your playful Westies for the afternoon.

Pricing: Your Westies, of course, plus $1 for parking for residents and $3 for non-residents

2. MORAINE FARM FESTIVAL

Where/When: Moraine Farm, 719 Cabot St., North Beverly; Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. 

Why Go: The 170-acre farm is open to the public for a day full of activities, including tours, story hour, scavenger hunt, farm animals, lectures, homemade food storytelling and a chance to pedal a bicycle-powered apple cider press.

3. FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL

Where/When: Hamilton-Wenham village, Railroad Avenue, Hamilton; Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Why Go: More than 40 vendors will fill downtown Hamilton with food, arts and crafts and other items as both towns celebrate fall. It will start off with a horse parade through the village.

4. ANTIQUE CAR SHOW TO SUPPORT HOSPICE CARE

Where/When: Putnam Farm, 9 Summer St., Danvers; Sunday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Why Go: It's an antique and classic car show at Putnam Farm, plus there will be food, music and raffles. Proceeds from the event benefit the Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston.

Pricing: Free admission, but $3 for lunch and dessert

5. RECYCLE YOUR STYROFOAM

Where/When: Lifoam Industries, 2 Fifth St., Peabody; Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Why Go: You can't get it picked up at the curb with the rest of your recycling, so why not bring your styrofoam over to Lifoam Industries on Saturday to recycle it for free. Residents from other cities and towns are welcome to utilize the free service as well. More details here on what you can and can't bring.
