What You Need to Know About the Danvers Fourth of July Fireworks

The event is being held on Saturday.

The Danvers Family Festival will present its annual Fireworks Show and Food Festival at Plains Park from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5.

Plains Park is at 55 Conant St. The event was originally planned for Thursday, but was postponed because of a threat of rain.

The annual event kicks off at 5 p.m. where there will be performances, including the winner of this year's Danvers Idol competition. There will be dancing, music, fun, food, games and rides for children.

At least a dozen Boston area food vendors will be on hand for the second annual Food Truck Festival.

At 8:30 p.m., Danvers will honor the men and women of the military with a patriotic program. At 9:15 pm., the 50/50 raffle winner will be announced.

Then to cap it all off, the fireworks display kicks off at 9:30 p.m.
