I got a follow up call from the town. Nice to know they are reading these reviews! They are going out to check on the Town Forest and take care of things.
Thank you!

DO NOT GO!
Read this article and my husband and I decided to take the dogs for a hike in the Town Forrest. I hadn't been there in years! Won't go back!
We followed the Blue Trail which was littered with way too much broken glass to make it safe. Then, while crossing a small wooden bridge my husbands feet came right out from under him causing him to land flat on his back. Seems the wood has been there so long it has become slimey and dangerous. It was scarey to think of calling 911 on a footpath!
So he is extremely sore and we have cancelled all our weekend plans, but we are grateful he didn't land on the broken beer bottles that were right next to him!
I'm not sure who to report this too, but I will call Town Hall on Monday and find out.
