Highlands Elementary School
978-774-5011
With an enrollment of nearly 400 students, Highlands Elementary is the largest elementary school in town. It first opened its doors on Sept. 5, 1956; was extensively renovated in 1995; and played host twice to children from other elementary schools undergoing similar renovations shortly thereafter. The school has a regulation-size gym, independent classrooms for music and art and features a baseball field, basketball court and two tennis courts outside. A new playground is also under construction. The Weatherbug station at the school provides real-time weather reports for the area.
