Helpful information for senior safety is available and there is also a breakfast club that meets each week. The facility was built in 1999 and is managed by the Council on Aging. The center was nationally accredited in 2001 and then re-accredited in 2007. The center is surrounded by Highland Manor (a housing authority development), Highlands Elementary School and town soccer fields. Riverside, home of the Rockets, is located in the Danversport neighborhood and is one of five elementary schools in…More town. Pre-kindergarten is offered as well. The school grounds also feature a baseball field and a playground.
Riverside offers multi-age transitional classrooms for kindergarten and first-grade students. The Learning Center staff are also available to work with small groups of children who have significant learning disabilities.
