This Food Pantry was created by the Danvers Community Council in 1994. It is located next door to the Holy TrinityMore Methodist Church on Sylvan Street. Home food delivery is available for needy families who cannot come during normal pantry hours. To become a recipient of the pantry, registration is required; it can be done at this location with proof of residency and proper identification.

St. Mary's is one of two Catholic churches in town, the other being Saint Richard's on Forest Street. The parishMore opened its parochial school on Otis Street in 1958 and built a convent next door to the school two years later. St. Mary's pastor is Rev. Gerard L. Dorgan.

Parishioners are active in a variety of ways, whether serving on the Liturgy Committee, as an altar server or engaged in a group Bible study, rosary group or serving at the People to People Food Pantry. St. Mary's Cemetery on Sylvan Street and St. Mary of the Annunciation Cemetery on Hobart Street are both owned by the parish.

St. Mary's was founded in 1859 with the purchase of a wooden church building on High Street. That building was used until 1937 when it was torn down to make way for construction of Route 128. The new church was built at the corner of Conant and Franklin streets with a total seating capacity for 1,270 parishioners.
